I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know anything about Halo. Most attempts to play it end up with me holding the controller upside down. But when my friend Sarah asked me to draw her friend Eric as Master Chief, I happily obliged. He owns the armor in real life. So it’s like art imitating life imitating art. With a bunny.
I mean it. I’m going to update it every day for a week. A WEEK! STARTING TODAY! With stuff I’ve drawn since my last update, which was painfully long ago.
Here’s the first one. I drew my friend Ronnie in April. He’s immensely talented and kept leaving fun songs on our friends’ facebook walls for their birthdays, so I figured I’d make him something using my own “skills” (ha). I bet he can rock a skinny tie in real life, too.
A very silly thing I made Nagler for his birthday. Michael gave me the idea. I kinda sorta went with it. Woo!

Anand. From like, aaaages ago when I made him pose for me while everyone was at the diner.
Umm, we’ll see who he is. He’s based on a man I merely glimpsed at while I was in Brighton a few months ago. He was standing outside a bookstore looking perfectly happy and content with life. Then I drew him and it was nice. Then I inked the pencil sketch and he ended up looking a lot more dangerous than I intended him to look. Oh my!

This is a sketch of an old man I saw on the bus in Grenoble in late May/early June. It’s more accurate than is really polite (he really was wearing slippers and had mutant-caterpillar-Martin Scorsese eyebrows). He was too incredible looking not to draw.
